Acute Acalculous Cholecystitis Associated with Hepatitis A Viral Infection: A Case Report

چکیده
Most hepatitis A infections are acute, self-limiting, and asymptomatic. In rare instances, extra hepatic complication, such as acute cholecystitis, may emerge. Acute cholecystitis is inflammation of the gallbladder wall classified into calculus acalculus. About 90–95% cases brought on by bile duct stones. acalculous can be structural functional abnormalities in viral infection. Here we present a 20 years old female patient with associated Gallbladder distention, thickening wall, absence acoustic shadow or biliary sludge, perivesical liquid buildup, dilatation intra- extrahepatic ducts among ultrasonographic criteria for diagnosing cholecystitis. The serology revealed infection positive anti-HAV IgM. Hepatitis testing should considered patients suspected undefined etiology markedly deranged liver function test adult patients.

متن کاملAcute acalculous cholecystitis in a teenager with hepatitis a virus infection: a case report.
Acute viral hepatitis A is a common systemic infection in children, especially in developing countries. Acute acalculous cholecystitis in the course of this infection is a rare and poorly reported event that needs to be diagnosed because of the possibility of complications, such as gangrene and perforation of the gallbladder wall. We present the case of a 16-year-old teenager with clinical and ...
متن کاملAcute Acalculous Cholecystitis due to Viral Hepatitis A
Inflammation of the gallbladder without evidence of calculi is known as acute acalculous cholecystitis (AAC). AAC is frequently associated with gangrene, perforation, and empyema. Due to these associated complications, AAC can be associated with high morbidity and mortality. Medical or surgical treatments can be chosen according to the general condition of the patient, underlying disease and ag...
متن کاملAcute Acalculous Cholecystitis Due to Viral Hepatitis B: A Case Report
Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) is a small (diameter of 42 nm), incompletely double-stranded DNA hepadnavirus. Substantial genetic variations occur within distinct regions, globally facilitating classification of eight distinguishable genotypes (A through H), which have treatment implications [1,2]. All genotypes are present in the United States, with genotypes A and C comprising 35 and 31 percent of v...
متن کاملAcute Acalculous Cholecystitis Induced by Acute Hepatitis B Virus Infection
During the course of acute viral hepatitis, some functional and anatomical changes to the gallbladder can occur. Acute acalculous cholecystitis (ACC) is a rare complication of acute hepatitis B virus infection; only few cases are reported as ACC associated with acute hepatitis B virus infection. ACC cases are self-limiting, while other limited cases can progress to a gangrenous state, perforati...
